Spring “March Madness” League

The NYBA Spring “March Madness” league is a fast paced season that goes along with the NCAA March Madness theme. This is for players who want to continue playing basketball throughout the month of March and improve on the development of their game. The season lasts a total of 3-4 weeks, beginning the 1st weekend of March. Teams will play double headers on Saturdays.

Teams will practice on Wed evenings. Games & practices are hosted at McGavock High. Each team will play a total of 6 regular season games. Jerseys are included in registration fee.

While NYBA younger divisions focus on skill development and fundamentals, the (Middle & High School) D-League will help improve players overall Basketball IQ & development to prep them for school basketball at the Middle School and High School Level. For grades 6th & up. Players will compete in a Showcase style season with weekly MVP’s, Stats, & Weekly Workout sessions with Former 1st Round NBA Draft Pick Dontae’ Jones who is the basketball director for the NYBA D-League.

NYBA is a Jr. NBA certified & Nationally renown program led by former Professional players & current high school & National coaches which provides high level training & knowledge.

Individual Players as well as teams are welcome to participate in the league.

The 2024-25 Winter Season will feature Weekly Awards, Fun activities, Jamboree Event, Homecoming Event, Discounted/Free NCAA & other pro tickets, & More!!

Regular Season Runs Jan. to March

Individual Registration Fee: $135 with Mandatory Fundraiser Participation or $160 Fundraiser included. (No Refunds once Practices Begin)

Team Fee: $675 (Uniforms & practice time NOT included)

Winter Weather Policy

If games are canceled there will be a notice on the Website, facebook, and we will email & text all participants. Coaches and team parents are responsible for spreading the word from there.

Games are not rescheduled by the league due to absolutely no “wiggle” room in the gym availability or ability to extend the season.

NYBA makes the hard decision to cancel based on the safety of our players, parents, coaches, referees and staff, however, occasionally schools will tie our hands and make the decision for us.

PLAYER EVALUATIONS: Sept. 22

The NYBA Fall league is open for players who want to improve their overall basketball skill & prepare for the school & Winter season. Players will be assigned to a team/coach & play 6 regular season games & post season tournament.

Players will get not only the training, knowledge, and Competition needed to compete at the next level, but also the exposure to other high-level talent and potential interested Middle & High Schools in the area.

Dates: Sept.22- Nov. 9

Location: McGavock High

Boys & Girls grades 2^nd-12^th

Cost: $100 before Sept. 18 ($10 late fee upto Oct. 1)

Fee Includes: Practice time, Team Jersey, & 6 league games

Games will be played on Saturdays & practices will be held on Sundays.

Evaluations are Sept. 22 & First games are Oct. 5.
